Join our dedicated team at Bandera Family Hospital as the Lead CT-X-Ray Technologist and take the helm of our imaging department. Job Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the CT and X-ray department to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality imaging services.
Provide technical oversight and perform advanced diagnostic imaging procedures when required.
Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including radiation safety protocols.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and imaging practices.
Train and mentor junior CT and X-ray technologists, offering guidance on best practices and continuing education opportunities.
Manage the scheduling of staff and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize patient wait times.
Ensure all imaging equipment is regularly inspected, maintained, and functioning correctly, coordinating repairs and upgrades as necessary.
Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and consumables, ensuring availability for all necessary procedures.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, analyzing data and making recommendations for improvements.
Ensure the proper functioning of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) integration.
Assist with the budget planning for the CT and X-ray department, including forecasting needs for equipment and staffing.

Job Requirements
Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current MRT certification
Valid state licensure as a radiologic technologist.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT and X-ray imaging.
Advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated leadership experience and team management skills.
Proficiency in the use of CT and X-ray equipment, including knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance requirements.
Ability to develop and optimize CT and X-ray imaging protocols.
Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Radiology Information Systems (RIS).
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Commitment to continuous education and professional development in radiologic technology.
BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within a specified time frame.
Physical ability to assist patients onto and off the imaging table and to maneuver imaging equipment.
