General Manager Job Description:

We truly are a restaurant that feels like family. You will find a scratch kitchen where our food is made fresh daily with passion and love for quality food. We serve Breakfast, Brunch, and Lunch anytime. We believe you can have a burger at 7 AM and an omelet at 2 PM. Our commitment to fresh food served fast has set us apart as a leader in Better Breakfast.

Famous Toastery is rapidly expanding and we are looking for a General Manager effective immediately.

General Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for hiring, training and developing the restaurant team. Ability to create a team that will have leaders emerge and work well together.
• Commitment to food quality, recipe adherence, and consistency. Has a strong grasp of health and sanitation requirements and runs the restaurant accordingly.
• Focus onincreased sales and profitability and effective cost controls with an ultimate goal of increased guest traffic.

General Manager Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of restaurant management experience within a fast-casual restaurant with the ability to demonstrate a passion for people and food.
• Implement a growth plan for increasing sales and profitability of the restaurant.
• Experience planning and preparing for daily Catering business.
• Passion for the guest experience with a true focus on team work in all aspects of the restaurant.
• Is a hands on leader. We believe in leading by example.
• Strong understanding of cost controls within food cost and labor. Ability to put systems in place to enable consistent cost while ensuring a high-quality product with seasonal menu features.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities at once including restaurant operations and catering events working with and through the back of the house team.
• Must be able to reach, bend, balance and carry large objects within the restaurant repeatedly throughout your shift.
