Summary Evaluates credit and other relevant data to determine the credit risk of potential customers. Makes recommendations, issues approvals and declines credit requests in accordance with Stellantis Financial Services credit risk policies, compliance guidelines and profitability models.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reviews and evaluates all credit reports in commonly used formats as well as any format unique to FIFS.
- Accurately applies credit policies, in accordance with FCRA, across multiple product lines for various loan types.
- Works with Loan Officer II and Senior Loan officers and seeks assistance in order to understand the program and make sound credit decisions
- Utilizes phone, fax and web based tools to complete verifications as deemed necessary.
- Manages exceptions to published credit authority using judgment and experience to produce risk outcomes within company expectations.
- Completes final disposition on credit applications or forwards to appropriate level of authority for final approval.
- Communicates loan application outcomes to dealer via phone, email or other appropriate means and follows-up with calls to solicit business.
- Ensures responses to dealers are issued within established service level parameters.
- Makes outbound and handles inbound calls to negotiate final terms of contracts with both our dealer customer and the DRM.
- Participates in targeted outbound call campaigns as time permits, in coordination with the DRMs in an effort to cultivate long-term dealer relationships.
- Works directly with the Funding department and DRMs to resolve credit and verification issues that arise in funding.
- Utilizes daily reports and other data to provide support to the DRM in training and managing FIFS relationship with our dealer customer.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- This position involves regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.

Education and/or Experience The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and or/GED. External candidates must have 1 to 3 years relative consumer finance experience..
- Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to calculate figures and amounts relative to installment contracts and interpret pay check information.
- Ability Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to derive conclusions and make recommendations beyond the scope of written policies or standard guidelines.
