Position Summary: The FlexShopper Scrum Master will help to lead multi-level and cross-functional teams through a project using Agile project management techniques. They must be knowledgeable in Agile methodology (scrum) and proficient at facilitating the communication and collaboration between leadership and other team members to educate, resolve conflicts and ultimately ensure a successful project outcome. Essentially while the project manager focuses on the project, the Scrum Master will concentrate on the team, taking steps to ensure the individual team members and overall team achieve success. Scrum Master will be allocated to business groups and will manage the department backlog and lead sprint planning, maintain sprint backlog and conduct retrospectives. This is not an IT scrum master role although they will work with IT in certain key projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use Agile methodology and scrum practices to facilitate and lead the operations scrum team, including hosting the daily scrum call and managing sprint artifacts.

• Enable the product owner and cross-functional development team to achieve continuous customer satisfaction by leading daily/weekly project stand-up meetings, supporting member tasks, proactively anticipating and resolving problems, and updating activities with project management tracking tools
• Coach and develop cross-functional teams on Scrum principles and best practices such as: self-organization, promoting respect and open interactions, facilitating customer collaboration, implementing sprint planning and review, and conducting root cause analysis for process improvement
• Proficient in software development and management skills; Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of goals, expectations, processes, structure, requirements, planning, and monitoring that goes into producing better software.
• Complete the gaps in the Agile framework by facilitating the scrum and development teams to identify and define the gaps

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

• While the scrum master is a management level position, they will not directly manage the team at this time

Education, Experience and Technical Skills:

• Adept at scrum or scrum certified
• Must have prior experience of at least 2 to 5 years on or leading scrum team
• Experience in Python, R or SQL preferred
• Demonstrable ability to collaborate, communicate with, and lead a team full cycle
• Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
• Ability to seamlessly adapt to a changing start-up environment and simultaneously facilitate team members ability to adapt to changing demands
• Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused despite distraction

For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. This position is a full-time onsite position that may be based out of either the Boca Raton, FL or Atlanta, GA offices. Depending on your location, travel to our headquarters in Boca Raton may be required up to once a quarter based on business need.
