SUMMARY:
Goldbelt C6, LLC., is seeking a responsible and professional Public Health Analyst II to provide information management support services to the CDC’s Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP). This support is to help enhance infection control practices and ensure related and interdependent functions and disciplines are incorporated throughout tasks to contribute to achieving DHQP’s mission and program goals.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work closely with the Coalition team members and SMEs to implement all project activities and assist with Making Dialysis Safer for Patients Coalition partnerships.
- Coordinate all communications for CDC’s Making Dialysis Safer for Patients Coalition.
- Work with team to assist with communications and coordinate educational outreach efforts of the Making Dialysis Safer for Patients Coalition.
- Develop and deliver communication strategies to facilitate increased awareness and implementation of CDC-recommended infection prevention measures in outpatient dialysis centers.
- Coordinate communications and meetings with key partners; identify opportunities for CDC to expand the reach of Coalition messages and educational materials.
- Organize and coordinate educational offerings of the Coalition (e.g., webinars)
- Assist with outreach and interactions with Coalition Partners, core members, and workgroup members; proactively look for ways to support Coalition partnerships.
- Engage in outreach with dialysis, public health, and other partners to facilitate membership in the Coalition Develop and deliver Coalition resources, including dialysis web page materials.
- Write content for the Coalition newsletter, project reports and updates, and CDC’s dialysis website, and coordinate website updates and redesigns.
- Develop, deliver, and post website content, and infection prevention tools and other content for website and other projects in collaboration with the CDC communications team.
- Contribute to improving CDC's dialysis safety website and its usefulness to Coalition partners and members and navigability.
- Write social media messaging and assist with social media outreach for the Coalition (e.g., Facebook, Twitter). Travel to meet with key partners and/or to exhibit Coalition materials at 4-5 domestic sites.
- Develop and deliver/disseminate presentations focused on the Coalition and its work.
- Manage printing through the CDC Print Services Team and coordination for shipping and distribution of educational materials.
- Track and summarize metrics of communications, educational efforts, and social media.
- Work with the Coalition team to organize in-person or virtual meetings of Coalition Partners and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with a DHQP public affairs officer on strategic media outreach.
- Attend CAMS exempt settings to increase the visibility of the Coalition and project tools and resources at 4-5 domestic sites.
- Maintain best practices for HAI Prevention Implementation activities assisting the day-to-day support of program including administrative support and coordination services.
- Maintain and update technical content of protocols, definitions, and forms for HAI prevention implementation projects. Perform complex duties requiring attention to detail and analysis.
- Support dissemination and education around CDC-recommended infection prevention measures and infection prevention activities.
- Support outbreak response activities related to infection prevention efforts in various settings to ensure CDC-recommended prevention practices are understood and in place.
- Work with partners to understand areas of infection prevention gaps and inform on CDC best practices and recommendations specific to their situation and setting.
NECESSARY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse set of government and commercial stakeholders on technical contracts. Must have previous proven experience with website design and graphic design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership, teamwork, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in performing research using internet, email, databases, and computer software.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to derive innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Must be professional and polished with extensive organizational skills and accountability.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Communications, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in Public Health Analyst role in healthcare and/or public health setting.
- Highly proficient with website design and graphic design Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Communications, or related field.
- Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.
