A FedEx Utility Worker's role is to work at the FedEx yard at the airport performing a variety of duties based on business needs as dictated by the FedEx contract.
Responsibilities may include one or more of the following, but will not be limited to:
- Escorting FedEx Vendors and Employees throughout the airport Hub.
- Miscellaneous janitorial work.
- Checking and changing oil on FedEx vehicles
- Rebuilding dolly wheels.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with both FedEx associates and TSA Agents while performing needed job duties.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma preferred (Associates degree in related field is desired).
- 3 months of similar experience required.
- Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
- Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
- Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions.
- Must possess a mechanical aptitude.
- Must possess good oral and communication ability.
- Works is completed in a TSA governed area which requires finger printing and a Federal back ground check.
