Overview
HaysMed is seeking a dynamic and talented healthcare marketing professional to oversee marketing, advertising and corporate communications across its hospital and clinics. As the destination for rural health in Western Kansas, this position reports directly to the Vice President of Regional Operations and is responsible for the planning, execution and analysis of all strategic marketing activities for HaysMed hospital and clinics, including select internal communications activities.
Position Summary
- Develops and/or deploys the strategic communication plan(s) and execution tactics for all medical marketing communications and activities across multiple channels including direct to consumer, healthcare professionals, associates, leadership, donors, and community members at large.
- Create standardized marketing practices and procedures to deploy execution tactics around public relations, marketing, advertising, social media, etc. to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Maintains the organization’s brand, mission, vision and values in all strategies.
- Develops, evaluates financial budget to achieve corporate strategies and financial targets, manages areas of responsibility to optimize revenue and reduce costs.
- Provides positive leadership by an environment of teamwork, open communication, customer service and effective problem solving.
- Completes the human resources processes including interviewing and orientating staff, ongoing performance management and timekeeping/scheduling (and required documentation).
Infection Control: Initial and Ongoing training in dealing with infection control. Trainings could include but are not limited to, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids and bio hazardous materials as it applies to your daily work environment.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or related field.
- A minimum of three to five years supervisory experience in hospital, healthcare or business administration.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written formats.
- Demonstrated experience in writing various marketing materials, news releases, talking points, etc.
- Experience working with outside agencies and vendors in the development of creative concepts and materials.
- Knowledge and experience with social media communications and website content writing and updates.
- Ability to develop an annual budget and maintain a strong relationship with accounting to ensure reliable financial stewardship
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
- Skilled in both building and nurturing professional relationships with internal stakeholders (physicians, clinic administrators, leadership, et. al.) and external stakeholders (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, City and County Administration, state professional organizations, et. al.)
Preferred:
- Master's degree in sales and marketing or related field.
