HireUp Talent is partnering with our client in the Cape Coral area for an HR Manager position. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to lead a small team focused on full suite HR service.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the HR team members ensuring adherence to deadlines and deliverables in a quality manner.
- Formulate and recommend Human Resource strategies, policies and practices that drive employee satisfaction and engagement to foster our “WOW” culture.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.
- Leverage systems to drive efficiency in onboarding, recruiting, etc.
- Ensure all HR responsibilities pre and post-acquisition of managed timely and efficiently.
- Enhance, manage, and monitor selection, onboarding, engagement, and termination processes.
- Lead the recruiting process and source candidates through creative strategies.
- Spearheads employee recognition programs and administration, including arranging employee events as determined.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, monitors HR trends, recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and employment terminations.
- Manage administrative aspect of performance review ensuring 100% compliance.
- Administer benefits programs, including open enrollment, for all employees.
- Administer HR policies and procedures for all employees.
- Schedule or coordinate training, as required.
- Maintain employee files and records and retrieve information as required.
- Monitor all workplace injuries and worker's compensation claims and reporting.
- Manage unemployment claims.
- Ensure MTA complies with all employment laws, supports equal opportunity goals and Employee Handbook is current and in compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, General Business, or another related field
- 5 years minimum HR experience required.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
- Experience providing HR assistance in M&A preferred but not required.
- Organized, self-starter who delivers in a timely manner with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize and delegate tasks, when appropriate.
- Ability to handle all facets of manager and employee matters.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local statutes governing HR practices.
- Skilled in using MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint) and Linked In.
- Previous experience with ADP or other enterprise HRMS systems required.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality including HIPAA compliance responsibilities.
