Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned charge review and coding-related claim edit work queues to ensure timely and accurate charge capture.
- Review medical record documentation to accurately enter and post CPT and ICD-10 codes, ensuring compliance with Medicare and other payer-specific guidelines.
- Communicate coding discrepancies and provide guidance to providers and clients.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of coding experience and certification required.
- Certification from AAPC or an appropriate coding credential (e.g., CCS for Inpatient, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H for Outpatient).
- Knowledge of CMS rules and regulations.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience in rural health clinic coding is a plus.
