Maintenance Technician
Intertek is searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our Building & Construction team in our York, PA office.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance of fleet vehicles and test equipment, including overhead cranes, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, etc. .
What you will do:
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
- Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Prepare and maintain records and reports
- Purchase components for equipment/vehicle repair and maintain records of purchase
- Maintain building grounds as needed, including but not limited to, snow removal and grass removal
- Perform other work as required
- Follow and enforce all safety requirements and company policies
What it takes to be successful in this role:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in vehicle, equipment and building repair and maintenance
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
- Experience working with electrical systems, including computerized induction/ignition systems, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Experience with HVAC and building systems
- Experience welding (preferred)
- Experience using power and hand tools
- Minimum of five years of experience and/or training in vehicles/ equipment repair
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
- Able to routinely lift at least 75 pounds
- Able to climb stairs & ladders, bend, crawl, push, and pull as needed
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
