We are a leading manufacturing company seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in machining, with a particular focus on CNC, lathe, mill, and 3, 4, and 5-axis machine setups.
Responsibilities
- Setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to create precision parts and instruments.
- Interpreting blueprints, planning sheets, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) to set up machines correctly.
- Utilizing various tools and equipment such as lathes, mills, boring machines, and Marposs probing systems.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and execute machining strategies.
- Conducting regular maintenance and calibration of machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or malfunctions that may arise during the machining process.
- Working with Co-Bots and Doosan machinery to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Continually seeking opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machine setups, including lathes, mills, and 3, 4, and 5-axis machines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and planning sheets.
- Extensive knowledge of GD&T principles.
- Experience with Marposs probing systems, Co-Bots, and Doosan machinery is a strong advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Willingness to stay updated on new machining technologies and techniques.
