Catering Assistant
The catering assistant will provide administrative support and systems management for the Sales and Catering Offices. In addition they will provide a pleasant, professional first impression of Kalahari Resorts Sales and Catering to new prospects and existing clients and assist with marketing and direct sales activities as needed.
One to three years of administrative experience in a corporate business setting (preferably within the hotel/resort/hospitality industry), or experience in banquet operations or hotel front office helpful.
Overall Duties:
Compile and distribute weekly Event Orders, Resumes, daily change logs
Maintain and updated daily catering ‘boards'
Process service order forms from clients
Book and detail all ‘in-house' meeting and events
Assemble catering manager's folders for upcoming bookings as needed
Maintain digital and physical files and other correspondence in accordance with Kalahari standards
Edit events in Amadeus Advanced and group blocks in Visual One as needed
Maintain correct account information for billing and communication purposes in Visual One and Delphi
Assist sales managers in merging contracts in Delphi and entering group information into Visual One as needed
Assist in the design and refinement, implementation and follow-through of Kalahari sales and catering operational standards
Produce weekly and monthly sales reports & recaps from Delphi and SFDC
