Purpose:
A Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for managing the organization's online presence and will be involved in all aspects of digital media planning, from brand to performance campaigns. They will work closely with our Executive Director on evaluating performance metrics and analytics for online platforms, recommending courses of action for paid and organic search, ensuring brand consistency across platforms, and working with the brand to ensure successful social media creative performance. As well as working with the administrative team to create and update content for classroom and community engagement.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
· Support Kids Cook! digital media activities; maintaining a strong online presence for the organization.
· Implement marketing strategies through social media accounts.
· Measure web traffic and monitor social media.
· Create engaging text, image, and video content.
· Collaborate with administrative team to develop curriculum content.
· Manage projects and build strong relationships with partners.
Additional Job Functions:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Bachelor's degree in digital media, marketing, or a related field.
· 2 - 4 years’ experience in digital marketing, social media and website.
· Experience measuring and driving performance with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
· Solid knowledge of programs such as Google Suite, MailChimp, Canva, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and social media analytical tools including google analytics.
· Strong presentation skills and ability to present complex ideas clearly.
· Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and respond proactively.
· Ability to organize and manage daily work with multiple partners.
· Proactive approach to problem solving with strong decision-making skills.
· Excellent customer service skills including community outreach and work with community members.
· Access to a computer for daily monitoring of Kids Cook! email, online reporting tools, and online meetings.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Health-minded around nutrition and daily physical activity.
· Prior experience using Adobe (or similar) tools for daily work.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
· All offers of employment with Kids Cook! are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check. Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates.
· Daily exposure to children and people in a school and kitchen environments should be expected.
· Work is performed in a highly active environment with exposure to a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse employee and client population.
· Position may require the occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
