What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Manager position at Language Services Associates, Inc.?
The Accounts Payable Manager will be a key member of the Accounting team with overall responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate payments and related reporting. This role will monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state and local labor and tax laws.
\n- Own the accounts payable process and ensure the accurate and timely processing of all trade vendor invoices and independent contractor payments and reconciliation to the G/L and bank statements.
- Ensure accuracy of vendor payments, including setup and validation of vendor banking information.
- Identify and implement process improvements and system automations to improve internal controls and increase efficiency.
- Play key role in the implementation of all AP projects and initiatives.
- Manage vendor records to support preparation of IRS 1099 tax reporting and Canadian T-4A reporting and ensure compliance with other state statutory requirements including unclaimed property, sales and use tax and non-resident withholding.
- Oversee the administration of the Concur system for expense report management as well as the account coding for Amex card transactions.
- Supervise, train, develop and mentor team of two Accounting Specialists.
- Ensure department processes are documented and the team is cross-trained to improve collaboration and team agility.
- Assist in the annual audit, participate in special projects and prepare ad hoc reporting, as needed.
- Detailed and process-oriented AP Manager with 3 years management experience
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse vendor population
- Systems aptitude and analytical ability
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
- Concur experience a plus!
