POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is the “face and voice” of the ESD when greeting the public on the phone and in the foyer. This position provides crucial customer service in helping direct, problem solve and support our customers, whether they are constituent district members, families, students or the public at large. This is the ultimate “helper” position who is prepared to support other staff with back up or provide an extra set of hands. When dealing with the public, duties are dynamic and interesting. When supporting colleagues, prepare to become more familiar with new elements of our service model as you learn, stretch and grow your skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year experience as a receptionist, or equivalent with experience operating a multi-line telephone console preferred.
- Working knowledge and/or experience in field of education, PK-post secondary preferred.
- Demonstrated successful experience in customer service oriented field, engaging in professional communication, demonstrating a professional demeanor and utilizing person-centered problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills operating a FAX machine, postage meter, and basic computer skills including word - processing, spreadsheet and database software with a high level of accuracy.

GENERAL INFORMATION

- Utilize teleservice platform to provide services to educators, students and district staff as directed.
- Ability to lift, carry at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a vehicle or work setting.
- Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy through utilizing standard workplace technology including MS and Google office suites
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Meet the public and create positive impression; receive, screen and provide varied information to callers and visitors; maintain confidential information.
- Act as the first line of engagement to answer, screen and direct questions, and/or find the answers or find the person who can answer questions.
- Operate the agency’s multi-line telephone console system.
- Maintain agency phone list.
- Operate high speed scanner. Scan files as requested.
- Maintain reception calendar and facilitate reception coverage for breaks and absences when they are pre-planned.
- Operate the agency’s FAX machine.
- Process the agency’s outgoing mail by operating the postage meter, including scale, for all items, being routed through the US mail and United Parcel Service. Keep abreast of postal regulations. Maintain, safeguard equipment and order replacement supplies.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail items into agency mailboxes.
- Assist with managing and monitoring conference rooms scheduling calendar and prepare daily schedule for distribution to Facilities & Network staff. Serve as backup support to the Network Administrative Assistant with regard to room reservation requests.
- Assist with clerical tasks when requested: copying, data entry/typing, mailing, faxing, preparing handouts/packets, gathering information for special projects, arranging meals/snacks.

based on the current school year
- Placement on the Linn Benton Lincoln ESD Classified salary schedule will be
commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training, and experience
- Linn Benton Lincoln ESD will provide an Insurance CAP to assist with health,
