Lodestar Consulting is currently seeking multiple full-time Federal Audit Remediation Consultants at all levels to join our team in support of the Air Force. This role shall involve, but is not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Perform analytics on financial, acquisition, and asset management data ensuring compliance with procedures and control objectives
- Ability to support or manage a Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Solution to support internal control monitoring
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies through process improvements
- Recommend solutions for integration of data analytic or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools
- Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends and industry developments
- Develop and implement an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately address risks
- Support the development of federal financial reporting work products and deliverables
- Contribute to delivery of engagement objectives, actions, and status reporting
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task across both business and technical deliverables
- Ability to design solutions to solve complex operational deficiencies
- Ability to proactively identify and analyze process deficiencies and provide improvement recommendations in a complex, decentralized environment
- Ability to read guidance and regulations and apply to standard operating procedures
- Ability to adopt to new, complex, and dynamic client organizational structure
- Self-starter with the ability to be a part of, or lead a team, client interactions or client briefings
Requirements:
- 4 years of experience working with federal audits
- Experience working with OMB A-123 and Green Book compliance
- Experience in managing remediation of multiple audit findings
- Strong critical thinking skills that can analyze financial, procurement and asset data, identify issues in the data or business process, and interface key data elements for reconciliation
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of full cycle financial reporting federal audits
- Experience with Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) software
Preferred:
- CPA License
Education:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or business-related field
Security Clearance:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship).
