What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Lead position at Lucid Motors?
We are currently seeking a Accounting Lead to be a part of the Accounting team of Lucid Europe working across multiple European entities.
The Role:
- Perform various month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, issues resolution, and analytical review.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances.
- Assist in preparation of intercompany elimination entries and intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist with analysis of various cash transactions to apply to correct GL Accounts
- Assist in statutory financial statement preparation, audits, and filings across multiple European countries understanding various US GAAP and local IFRS standards
- Assist and work closely with the Tax department on relevant tax fillings across multiple European countries (VAT, CIT).
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and fluctuation analysis.
- Identify, maintain, and enhance business processes and documentation as part of SOX compliance efforts.
- Special projects and other ad hoc assignments as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor / Academic degree in Accounting and Accounting certification (ACCA/CPA equivalent)
- Public company and automotive industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and other local GAAP in Europe
- Working knowledge of SAP or Oracle ERP systems
- Fluency in English, other languages are a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A self-starter who is able to work effectively and autonomously
- Ability to develop strong partnerships and work cross-functionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written)
