    POSITION: RTI Math Intervention Teacher
    LOCATION: Mt. Ararat High School
    HOURS/STATUS: School Year 2022-2023 (One-Year only)
    CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Establish student and faculty relationships to support student success in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 Response to Intervention (RTI) programming in mathematics. Job functions include:
    • Provide direct support to students in need of academic support, especially in the areas pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry.
    • Partner with classroom teachers to ensure the effective implementation of Tier 1 RTI strategies in classrooms across the school.
    • Collaborate with department heads and other RTI specialists to ensure the implementation of an effective schedule to allow access to RTI programming for all students.
    • Oversee the implementation and use of online programs and other resources, when appropriate, to support the development of student skills in areas of deficit.
    • Collaborate with guidance, social workers, administration, and special education staff to identify barriers to student success and develop options to address barriers and provide alternate options.
    • Other duties to support RTI opportunities and schoolwide needs, as assigned.
    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Maine Department of Education teacher certification in any area, grades 7-12 (300S preferred).
    • Experience working with high school age student populations.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to skillfully manage time and scheduling across diverse needs.
    • Skilled in the use of technology and knowledge of information systems.
    • Professional manner and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, students, district staff, parents and community members.
