This individual contributor role is responsible for facilitating continuous improvement and the implementation of Lean principles across the Raleigh site, including the execution of the site’s CI and Lean strategic roadmap. This role must demonstrate enterprise leadership mindset behaviors, facilitating a process transformation and cultural transformation across the Raleigh site. Travel is expected to be less than 10%.
- Partners with all site functions and personnel to analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement operational improvements and best practices that will ultimately result in improvements in key operating metrics (safety, first-pass yield, lead time, on-time delivery, past-due backlog, inventory turns, cost of sales, etc.).
- Support the deployment of Lean principles and practices in accordance with site CI and Lean strategic roadmap. Ensure the team is leveraging Lean training and coaching opportunities and fostering a Lean culture through on-going Lean projects, problem solving methods, and daily work management systems. Provide expert hands-on support and coaching for the execution of CI projects, kaizens, and other improvement initiatives, and ensure that planned improvements are implemented, sustained, and translate into measurable operating results.
- Support the development and enhancement of shop floor and office management and communication systems. Provide guidance and coaching to ensure a sustained cadence of daily communication, problem solving, process confirmation, and coaching are taking place at all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with the corporate CI, manufacturing, and materials planning functions to implement and monitor the effectiveness of enterprise-wide standards and management systems for operational excellence.
- Actively participate in safety leadership for the site. Support the growth of active safety programs and ensure that CI activities are established and executed for the achievement of HSE objectives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $108,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
