Martis Camp Club is looking for a full-time Concierge and Communications Manager who will be available to the membership and provide a warm welcome to their guests while being a knowledgeable source of information about the Club and events, adding to their experience at Martis Camp.
The successful candidate will manage communications with the membership and our Ambassador team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Concierge and Communications Manager will interact fully with and assist all departments, as well as our Community Association and our Community Foundation.
All ambassadors must take a pre-employment drug screen.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, manage, participate with and provide direction to fellow concierge teammates with regard to the daily staffing, preparation and posting of communication signage at all Club amenities.
- In concert with Creative Director, assist with bi-annual club calendar, web posting, app updating and communication of information to the membership.
- Hire, motivate, train, review, lead and coach a concierge teammate/s to deliver extraordinary member interaction within the boundaries of the Ambassador handbook and policies and procedures manual.
- Assist Members with welcoming and providing guidance to their Guests to the Club.
- Assist with Prospective Member Guests while in residence.
- Assist the Food and Beverage TEAM with menu design, publishing and printing.
- Attend all Club Operations meetings
- Demonstrate strong, positive communication skills, working cooperatively with all teammates and Club Members
- Maintain high ethical and moral standards, including personal presentation and that of Concierge teammates.
- Manage and update on a daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal basis the Member website and app reservation system for Member use, to include regular updates as needed of letters to Members, Club and Community information, Member meeting notes and other information.
- Working with Creative Director, General Manager and Payroll, Benefits and HR Representative, deliver key information to all Ambassadors to include notice boards, e-blasts, managing the Ambassador website, recognition app, benefits and perks and current events as needed.
- Assist with hosting season opening and closing and other Ambassador events.
- Assist Creative Director with photography to include events and activities, seasonal changes, images for calendars, e-blasts and websites.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CCM is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and service of all concierge staff. The CCM will work closely with other department heads in understanding, preparing and promoting Club functions and events via the member website and app. The CCM will carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable Federal and State laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, coaching and rewarding fellow Concierge Ambassadors.
COMPETENCIES/SKILL SET

- Private club or highly respected resort experience preferred
- Excellent leadership, organization and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Jonas or equivalent POS software
- Adobe In-Design, Publisher or other graphic program skills preferred
- Past experience in event management or organization
- Past Food & Beverage experience preferred
- Photography skills would be an asset
- Must exhibit excellent judgement and discretion with respect to the handling of confidential information/communications
The position is a salaried exempt hospitality position that requires flexibility with weekend work and some evening work.
While Martis Camp is open year round, the busy times will be summer and winter with less active shoulder seasons
