JOB SUMMARY


Oversee and perform maintenance in support of day-to-day operations and maintain the physical assets of the property. Responsible for the overall performance of power equipment and vehicles, and routine maintenance as assigned. Set up, adjust, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality. This is a 2nd Shift position.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works under limited supervision
  • Maintain all machinery and equipment under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and in accordance with applicable federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
  • Ensure all scheduled, preventive, predictive and other maintenance systems are adhered to and properly performed for all machinery, equipment and buildings.
  • Maintain, repair, and test equipment to verify correct operation and production. Analyze and record cause of production delays on daily production reports and initiate procedures to solve equipment malfunctions. Examine defects and analyze spoilage causes and, where possible, take corrective action and verify the corrective action has eliminated the problems.
  • Trouble shoot equipment, problem solve, and eliminate scrap and waste. Record all maintenance issues in maintenance log for each line.
  • Responsible to immediately lockout any equipment deemed or suspected of being unsafe.
  • Provide project management of other system planners or contractors to develop detailed elements of overall package preparation
  • Share knowledge in team approaches to achieving objectives, process improvements, and better customer satisfaction.
  • Train, assist, and lead Maintenance Technicians and other more junior maintenance staff on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Partner with management to ensure a consistent identifiable maintenance program
  • Provides assistance to lower-level technicians and leadership to project teams. Performs expert functions as a part of training and development.
  • Perform technical maintenance jobs and other related duties as required.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Relevant Work Experience


  • At least 3 years of maintenance/mechanical experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities


  • Must furnish own necessary hand tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds of weight.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be willing to learn new equipment as it is brought on-line.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

Work Experience

  • Welding Calibration experience. VFD & PLC knowledge.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Trace School or Maintenance Certificate.
  • At least 5 years of experience with forklift, conveyor and other technologies relevant to location of residence.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex equipment.
  • Expert understanding of machinery/equipment.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel.
  • Willing to travel at least/up to 15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
