Overview:
Under general direction the Supervisor-Operations exercises independent judgment and are responsible for daily field operations and support of co-workers in the provision of pre-hospital triage, emergency medical care and transport. Supervisor-Operations respond to scenes as necessary in support of EMS personnel and other emergency services agencies, performing direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, basic and advanced life support according to the goals of Mercy Health system, the philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy Standard of Care and Employee Code of Conduct. Supervisor-Operations also perform clerical, maintenance duties and act as preceptors of EMT and Paramedic students when working regular shifts on an ambulance. The incumbent in this position shall carry his/her responsibilities and integrate into his/her style of management, the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life, and the dignity of each person, applying Christian values to all crucial human issues in the area over which he/she has responsibility.

Qualifications:
- Education: None.
- Preferred Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Licensure: Paramedic (EMT-P license for the State of practice, valid drivers license.
- Experience: Background as an EMT and experience with driving emergency vehicles. 5 years field experience.
- Preferred Experience: Three years EMS supervisory experience, teaching experience.
- Certifications/Registration: Hazmat awareness level training, ACLS at hire, PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Other: May be required to work differing shifts and schedules.
