Job Title: Kaizen Automation Specialist
Mission: Analyze current processes by generating Process Flow Diagrams and Value Stream Maps in order to benchmark and/or quantify current performance, identify and quantify waste, and to establish metrics for quantifying the improvement activities. Identify and minimize process waste by leading and organizing events that utilize Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Mistake Proofing, Statistical Process Controls, and Visual Management Systems. Achieve significant improvements in Operational Efficiency
What would your day look like?
· Deliver methodologies and systems to the execution teams to improve the reliability, maintainability, efficiency, and availability of their assets.
· Participate in the implementation of new projects (innovation, kaizen, new operating lines) to ensure compliance to the maintenance standards and the assets early management.
· Design, redesign and optimize PM and PdM incorporating world class practices, resources efficiency, labor allocation, and failure-mode centered. Guarantee the effectiveness of the planned maintenance through robust designs
· Standardize lessons learned, best practices, and procedures to improve the maintenance processes and share with the rest of the miniplants where applicable
· Assist in implementing process improvements with lean manufacturing concepts reducing cycle times and increasing employee efficiencies via successful tracking and monitoring system for sustainment and progress towards KPI performance, etc. consolidating performance metrics, projects, and activities.
· Support in the creation and management of Standard Work Instructions
· Utilize Continuous Improvement through Employee engagement in ideas and implementation.
· Develop metrics and dashboard measures designed to include the entire plant population in both understanding of key performance indicators and necessary actions to improve KPI's.
· Work with cell/site/value stream leaders to identify and prioritize improvement initiatives to achieve business results using best practice Process Management tools.
· Additional responsibilities as required – this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change.
Academic & Experience
- BS in Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering,
Industrial Engineering, or relevant field
- 3 to 5 years in automatization and kaizen practices
Technical Skills
- Maintenance scheduling and planning
- Kaizen methodologies – Six Signa or related
- Advanced project management skills
- Financial Management
