Grinder

Grinder operators work under minimal supervision to perform all levels of removing excessive gating, using different type of bands. This position requires basic understanding of different grinding methods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Responsible to remove excessive gating left, after Cut Off operation
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
• Ability to cross train in other areas as needed
• Fill out LOTO Log daily

• Minimum experience required 0-3 years.
• High School Diploma preferred not required
• Must possess basic computer skills
• Basic math skills

• While performing duties of the job, the employee is required to:
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Sit depending on job
  • Reach with both hands and arms
  • Regularly lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Specific Vision ability abilities required by this job includes near vision 20/20 or 20/25
  • Expose to ambient temperatures
  • Exposed to high levels of noise
  • Prescribed safety equipment must be worn at all times
