Job Description
Responsible for maintaining the data integrity of financial information maintained in the Workday ERP which is used in all financial reporting and KPI’s. Identifies and implements reports and other capabilities of Workday. Leads initiatives to improve and automate financial processes, systems and reporting.
Ensures the financial data within Workday and other financial systems is accurate and consistent to allow for reliable and timely financial reporting.
Monitors all general ledger functions including bank reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure the integrity of financial reporting processes.
Drives automation of accounting and finance processes, including financial reporting and the close process and other process improvements. Works on both new process enhancements and improvements to current processes.
Oversees all functional aspects of information systems related to Accounting, including replacement or upgrades to current systems, participation in steering committees, and developing new processes associated with those systems.
Monitor the general ledger month-end journal entries, reconciliations and close, and ensure timely closing of books. Direct and coordinate the presentation of the balance sheet and income statement results in the monthly close meeting for MUSC Health.
Ensure compliance with MCP and MUHA financial policies, state and federal laws as well as regulatory agencies.
Participate as needed on monthly financial update calls with joint venture partners.
Assists with the preparation of the consolidated statements, note disclosures, and required supplementary information. Assists in the coordination of the fieldwork of internal and external auditors.

Additional Job Description
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other related field and three to seven years’ work experience in accounting or finance.
CPA License preferred. Public accounting/auditing experience preferred. Workday ERP experience preferred.
Experience working in a large company setting preferred. PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and database management required.
