Exclusive Markets Relationship Specialist

We are looking for an outgoing individual, who will help increase National Food Group’s presence in our Exclusive Markets segment. You will be responsible for building new customer relationships, strengthening and retaining old relationships, and driving growth through increased sales on existing customer base.

Your essential duties:
- Play up your social butterfly personality when seeking new customers through cold calls and customer visits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects. We’re talking a Tina-Fey-and-Amy-Poehler strength relationship.
- It’s always nice going down memory lane with old friends - give former customers a little love! Re-establish these relationships and retain their loyalty. Everyone knows the best way to someone’s heart is delicious food.
- Make an impact at this company and help us grow! Increase revenue and profit within your territory by closing new orders, calling on existing and potential customers.
- Keep tabs on open purchase orders and hold lots to ensure proper product mix is secured for your customers.
- Work with the marketing department on producing marketing materials and any crazy promotional ideas you might have. Hey, if it works, it works.
- Assist your customers when their accounts are frozen from unpaid bills.
- Our office is great, but its fun getting out and traveling too! You’ll be traveling to trade shows and presentations across the country.
- Work with our corporate Chef to share recipes and fancy plated versions of food for photos and marketing – followed by (optional) taste-testing of everything Chef has made!
Requirements:
- Ability to travel overnight up to 40%
- Strong relationship management skills, people skills and ability to quickly establish rapport
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- High level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree preferred
- Sales experience preferred, but not required
