New Horizons Healthcare (NHH) is seeking a fulltime Lead Pharmacy Technician. Responsible for the supervision of assigned functions that prepare and process medications. Also, may count out, package, process medication returns and prepare for delivery according to prescription orders following NHH’s Pharmacy policies, regulations and procedures. May prepare medications through actions including measure, mix, label and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders and/or maintaining patient medical records, and/or triaging prescription orders following NHH’s Pharmacy policies, regulations and procedures.
- Implement pharmacy objectives as determined by the pharmacy supervisory team.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians working using the proper procedure to complete all daily assignments.
- Assign daily assignments and adjust as needed based on staffing number.
- Supervise technicians when assigned special projects to assure that they are being completed.
- Knowledgeable and trained on all back-end processes
- Provides regular and timely feedback to technicians regarding their performance.
- Assist in creation and implementation of training plan for tech team.
- Cascade communication from leadership to direct reports
- With Pharmacy Business Manager and Pharmacy Director. Responsible for the performance management, development, reward of their team.
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating company values.
- Assist Pharmacy Business Manager (PBM) in Paycor approvals.
- Communicate company initiatives, expectations, and policies.
- Responsible with Director and PBM for the morale and recognition of their team.
- Ensure and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law.
- 1 year of management experience
- 1-year previous experience as a pharmacy technician

Education
- HS Diploma
