Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, from developing and executing campaigns to managing budgets and leading a team. Leads and provides support for development, operation, growth, and promotion of OGHS, consistent with its Mission, Vision, and strategic priorities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan aligned with the hospital's overall business objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify target audiences and opportunities for growth.
- Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including traditional media, digital marketing, social media, and public relations.
- Manage the marketing budget and ensure a strong return on investment (ROI) for marketing activities.
- Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing them with direction and guidance.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, community partners, and media outlets.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest healthcare marketing trends, regulations, and technologies.
- Develop and manage the hospital's brand identity and messaging.
- Oversee the development and implementation of marketing collateral, such as brochures, website content, and advertising materials.
- Track and analyze marketing campaign performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Guides development, implementation, and monitoring of marketing and public relations strategies to brand OGHS as the regional provider of choice among key physician, employer and payor groups.
- Participates in community, industry, and professional associations to represent OGHS interests, keep abreast of developments in the health care industry related to marketing.
- Participates in various institutional committees.
- Actively participate in implementation of Studer principles and oversight of Journey to Excellence Coordinator. Engage in quarterly and annual auditing of LEMs for evaluation of all organizational leaders.
- Plans and implements strategies and processes to maximize efficiency and meet objectives
- Sets annual goals for the department and monitors progress of goal achievement through the LEM
- Organizes the functions of the department and allocates use of available resources
- Staffs department appropriately according to productivity standards
- Recruits, hires, trains and develops staff
- Monitors staff performance including goal setting and performance reviews
- Establishes and maintain departmental controls
- Formulates and enforces department policies and practices
- Coordinates financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency
- Facilitates the preparation and analysis of reports
- Reviews various performance metrics (i.e., financial, HCAHPS, employee engagement survey) to monitor and measure results, productivity & goal progress
- Responsible for the achievement of department productivity and quality goals
- Engages in and implements the Journey to Excellence tactics for the department
Experience: 7-10 years experience in Healthcare Marketing
Additional Experience Preferred
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of healthcare marketing principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience with digital marketing strategies and tactics (SEO, SEM, social media).
- Budget management experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
