Summary:
OWCAP is seeking individuals who have a patient and stable work style and who are able to consistently manage a repetitive routine. The job demands a cooperative, agreeable and sympathetic listener who gets along with others and enjoys being helpful to them. A customer service, team-oriented focus is of utmost importance. The job requires attention to the details of work, handling then with better-than-average accuracy and with careful attention to the quality of the work. The focus is on working comfortably under close supervision within a stable, secure team. The pace of the job is steady and relatively unhurried, with an inclination to keep doing things the same way unless directed otherwise by a supervisor. When there is change in the structure of work or scope of responsibility, time and support will be provided to learn the new work thoroughly with opportunity for repetitive practice.

What you will do as our Receptionist:
- Conduct reception duties including, but not limited to, opening and/or securing reception area and lobby daily, greeting and directing all visitors and clients in person or on the telephone; receiving and relaying incoming messages to staff, providing clerical support to agency staff; ensuring completion of applications; keeping reception area neat and orderly; secure reception area and lobby in the evening; keeping abreast of agency functions to identify problems that may occur for security and client flow purposes.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information shared regarding staff and individuals, children and families served; when working with confidential documents, ensure security and only authorized accessibility to those documents.
- Assist with case management of applications for Community Support Department.
- Maintain electronic bulletin board, job board listings, message boards, and other listings as required by agency programs.
- Data entry as assigned.
- Assist Secretarial Team and other departments in clerical duties as assigned.
- Attend assigned meetings and trainings.
What you need to be our Receptionist:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals from a variety of age groups, ethnic backgrounds, and income levels.
- Type 20 w.p.m. for a five-minute duration.
