Reporting to the Director, IT Infrastructure, this position will be responsible for playing a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our technological infrastructure, analyze infrastructure needs and provide technology solutions to meet business requirements.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the organization's infrastructure, including servers, storage, cloud environment, virtualization technologies and various core infrastructure applications.
- Act as a senior point of contact for troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Analyze and optimize the performance of infrastructure components to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Assess current and future capacity needs, ensuring the infrastructure can support business growth.
- Lead the implementation of infrastructure projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline routine tasks, enhance operational efficiency, and minimize manual intervention.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of the organization's infrastructure and data.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional development in infrastructure management.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for the adoption of new technologies when appropriate.
The Requirements
To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Infrastructure Engineer opportunity, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, cloud, virtualization, and core infrastructure applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
