Job Summary: Perform mold changes and work cell setups based on daily production schedule as well as mold stages and tooling inventory.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: NOTE: Plastic Molding Technology, LLC. unilaterally may change the requirements of this job description at any time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepares molds and inserts in advance according to Master Production Schedule
- Responsible for efficient plastic mold injection inserts, mold changes, and mold/parts maintenance.
- Responsible for removing and installing molds in a variety of sizes and makes of molding machine based on production schedule in a timely and efficient manner.
- Use of overhead cranes to set molds
- Setup secondary equipment as required for job
- Remove scheduled molds from mold rack or Tool Room and stage by the press.
- pick up molds that completed the run and store back to Mold rack or Tool Room if PM is needed
- PM platens and platen holes, maintain log for platen maintenance
- Refurbish water hoses on mold set up cart
- Cycle count mold locations for accuracy as per BOM
- Support production on SMED activities

- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Mechanical knowledge
- Willing to work graveyard shift
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Basic Knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding (preferred)
- Must possess a sense of urgency while performing tasks accurately
- No experience needed
