We are currently hiring a Product Development Analyst to help us in our mission of developing fresh, exciting, and innovative products for the branded merchandise industry. Our Product Development Analyst will report directly to the Product Development Manager and will be involved in researching new product ideas, building pricing models, developing product launch strategy, and analyzing product performance.

As a rapidly growing company, we launch new products every month. Developing compelling products requires a knowledge of what’s trending with US consumers as well as an understanding of how Pop! Promos can differentiate our products from the competition. The Product Development Analyst is responsible for understanding our cost structure for producing new products and developing models to appropriately price our products in the market. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the product development process from conception to execution, and thrives in a team-oriented environment with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to a large group.

A successful Product Development Analyst is a strong project manager who is comfortable working with uncertainty and developing creative solutions to work through product development challenges.

This is a hybrid, in-office role, with the opportunity to take advantage of our work-from-anywhere policy 2 days a week. We require proof of vaccination or a qualifying exemption in order to be inside our building.

Essential Responsibilities: *

  • Research competitive landscape for new products both quantitatively (pricing and production timing) and qualitatively (competitor positioning, features, branding)
  • Organize product pricing information in financial models and propose pricing to Product Development Manager
  • Work with marketing, art, and sales teams to build launch schedules and strategy
  • Manage product development process to keep 6 key team members on schedule for key milestones and launches
  • Analyze product trends and provide recommendations based on internal product performance and research to Product Development team

Essential Requirements: *

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated interest in work with physical products
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong quantitative skills including advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present to groups of team members. Experience communicating with overseas teams is helpful, but not a requirement.
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience in data analysis, market research, or product development.
  • Willing to travel internationally to China and India to visit factories and develop relationships 1-3 times per year.
