responsibilities:
- Perform equipment stress analyses using FEA software to produce equipment design calculations, as well as perform reviews of FEA and other submittals prepared by equipment vendors.
- Resolve technical issues related to the equipment design and discuss them with other disciplines, groups, suppliers and the customer.
- Interface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines in the development of the design.
- Support the production of the equipment drawings.
- This may be performed as an individual contributor or leading other engineers.
- Prepare reports and studies in resolving open technical issues related to the equipment design.
- Support development of cost estimates and schedules for mechanical equipment.
- Ensure work is performed to the project's quality standards for nuclear facilities while executing to the schedule.
- Broad knowledge of the application of Mechanical Engineering design principles.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), work well with others, and flexible.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Level 1:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- With minimum of 1 year related experience.
- Related experience includes, but is not limited to, the design and fabrication of complex equipment, experience with liquid & gas handling equipment preferred (vessels, tanks, air handling equipment, mixers, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- With minimum of 3 years related experience.
