ROLE
What does a HR BP Manager do at Rinnai?
The Manager, HR Business Partner reports to the Vice President of HR for Rinnai America. He / she works with members of Rinnai’s executive and leadership teams and has daily interactions with associates across North America.
As a member of the HR team in a growing company, this role will be responsible for, or have involvement in, all aspects of RAC’s organization and people initiatives. There is variety and the ability to impact all parts of a business in this role.
What you will do:
STRATEGIC HR BUISNESS PARTNER
Business partner with all levels of the organization in strategic planning, tactical planning, and effective implementation of HR processes and programs.- Propose HR initiatives to improve business results with measurable goals and objectives.
- Primary process and project owner for major HR processes/systems, such as compensation planning, employee engagement, career pathing, development, training, HRIS, etc.
- Primary owner of assigned business unit employee matters (performance, investigations, coaching guidance, etc)
- Be a sponsor of the company’s principles, ensuring that a positive and winning culture is maintained.
- Work with company leaders to develop and anticipate future business needs and develop plans for meeting them.
- Lead successful organization and people integration after acquisitions.
- Identify and guide leadership in workforce planning, including the development of internal talent for key jobs company-wide.
- Manage budgets, expenditures, report on budget variances, report on metrics, etc.
- Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE
- An undergraduate degree in Industrial and Labor Relations, Human Resources or other business-related area is required or equivalent years of experience.
- PHR, SPHR or similar certifications are a plus
- Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in HR for a global or international organization.
- It is expected that a candidate has had progressive HR experiences across most or all major organization and people sub-functions (eg business acumen, learning, compensation / benefits, employee relations, etc.)
- Business groups supported should include manufacturing, engineering and sales.
- Speaks fluent Spanish
- Experience working with employee groups in Mexico and Latin America is a plus.
- Knowledge of lean / continuous improvement is important.

- The ideal candidate will have a strong background of achievements in rapidly developing and changing environments as a successful functional and business leader. They need to “know what great looks like” and have a continuous improvement mindset to get there.
- Candidates must have exceptional personal presence and influencing skills to build trust-based relationships across the organization. This requires superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- He / she must be a good evaluator of talent, be resourceful and well organized, have a strong business acumen, and be a change agent. A high energy level and a passion for superior performance through execution.
- Candidates need to be a collaborative team player. We’re growing. Therefore, we’re not large enough to specialize. This role does come with HR support, but must have a willingness to “jump in and do” with little supervision is required.
