Major responsibilities:
- Provides customer service, by following up with customers regarding orders, shipping schedules and documentation;
- Sending customers necessary documents;
- Tracking shipments with suppliers, forwarders, brokers and warehouse representatives;
- Updating customers with lead times, shipping schedules, and delivery dates; by handling initial customer inquiries and routing them to appropriate sales staff;
- Obtaining supplier quotes and providing pricing information to customers if necessary;
- Helping resolve any quality or return issues by obtaining authorization for returns from suppliers;
- Following up on disputes or claims. Prepares various documentation by entering and creating purchase orders;
- Creating packing lists; by creating credit memos, debit memos, invoices; by filling out necessary import/export forms and other documentation.
- Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned
