Data Reporting Analyst

Description

Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Data Analyst. To be successful in this role, you should be able to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Data Analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design, as well as developing analysis and reporting capabilities. You will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

How you will make an impact

- Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports

- Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary for accuracy

- Communicate findings of data analysis to managers, written and verbally

- Support various departments, including marketing and sales, in reaching their goals through analysis

- Regularly examine data reports to identify and resolve mistakes throughout

- Assemble data recording systems and business analysis for the department to use

- Identify changes in financial and business trends by monitoring data

- Develop business reports that provide insight into key data points

Requirements

- Experience with object-oriented programming and other data analysis programs

- Understanding of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow

- One to three years of experience as a financial or business analyst

- Analytical skills that can develop data-driven reports

- Detail oriented, able to notice small details that could impact results

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers

- Ability to use data tools to create pivot tables, graphs and charts

- Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions

- Time management and prioritization skills to meet project deadlines
