In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including managing employee relations, recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, and updating the employee handbook.Responsibilities- Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite- Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors- Work with other members of the HR department to manage the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees- Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters- Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections- Draft templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook- Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews- Responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department- Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)- Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures- Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations- Employee relations, involving engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations
