What are the responsibilities and job description for the Referral Coordinator position at Robert Half?
Robert Half has an excellent opportunity with a local organization in Gresham, Oregon. We are seeking a Referral Coordinator to assist this organization with a long-term, temporary project. This position will be fully on-site and equipment will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Process patient referrals and determine the reimbursement source; track those referrals and provide follow-ups or updates to appropriate parties
- Complete paperwork and documentation
- Act as the liaison between eligibility specialists and patients
- Obtain referrals and diagnostic tests to include in patient files
- Assist with clerical duties as such filing, faxing, sending and sorting mail, and typing email correspondence as well as other letters
- Make confirmation calls to patients prior to their appointments
- Update notes for the providers and gather patient demographic information both over the phone and face-to-face
- Provide information to patience about eligibility and the services offered
There will be ample training for this role, however, the ideal individual will have excellent customer service skills, will be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to grow with a large organization.
Requirements
- Experience with referral coordination highly desired
- 2 years of customer service experience
- Experience in healthcare a plus but not required
- Experience with Epic and Workday desired but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong ability to communicate both written and verbally with patients of all backgrounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment with flexibility surrounding changing responsibilities and priorities
