Robert Half Contracts Finance and Accounting division is seeking a part-time Sr Accountant (25-30 hours a week), for a temporary project for a client in Auburn! The ideal Sr Accountant would be open to onsite temp work, have SAGE software experience and have strong month-end close.
Job Duties would include:
• Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including internal monthly financial statements
• Maintain general ledger and responsible for monthly closing activities
• Maintain and utilize specialized knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to construction management information
• Oversee the activities of the accurate and timely processing and payment of accounts payable invoices and employee expense reports
• Oversee the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings and cash receipts applications
• Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data
• Drive process improvements, keep abreast of new finance and accounting trends and developments, and identify and implement internal controls
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports for senior management, division managers and construction project managers
• Work with the COO on annual budgeting and ongoing budget analyses of divisions
• Work with the COO on strategic business planning and business acquisition analyses
• Coordination of intercompany transactions, reconciliations and eliminations on combined reports
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline or extensive commensurate experience in the accounting field
• 5 years of previous Controllership or Accounting Manager experience
• Construction Accounting experience with Percentage of Completion and Completed Contract Revenue Recognition background
• Professional services industry experience in Construction Management, Property Management, or Other Professional Services is preferred
• Experience with Sage Construction, MasterBuilder or Timberline software is preferred
• Extensive experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and strong time management skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated level of supervising accounting staff

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
