We are in search of a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team based in AURORA, Ohio, 44202-9202, United States. The role involves overseeing all operational areas of accounting within our organization. Responsibilities
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close, ensuring all account reconciliations are reviewed, completed, and tied to financial statements before the closing dates
- Prepare weekly Cash Management reports
- Manage and file quarterly Sales and Use tax reports
- Oversee the company's credit card management, including reconciliation
- Handle intercompany transactions and sales & use tax
- Assist in conducting the Annual Fiscal Year Audit
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Utilize your skills in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, SAP, and Tax - Sales & Use effectively to perform your duties.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role
- Demonstrable proficiency in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger maintenance, Journal Entries, and Month End Close procedures
- Must have hands-on experience with SAP or similar accounting software
- Knowledge in Tax - Sales & Use is required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Must adhere to the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is a plus
- CPA certification, or progress towards certification, is desirable.
