Rocky Mountain High is seeking a Supervisor for our downtown location! Candidates with Management Experience in retail, cannabis, or sales are encouraged to apply.

DEPARTMENT: Retail

REPORTS TO: Regional Manager or Retail Store Manager or Assistant Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Colorado

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Retail Store Manager position is responsible for the successful operation and profitability of the store in the absence of the Retail Store Manager. Responsibilities include training, directing and monitoring staff as well as performing administrative duties. This position is responsible for adhering to regulatory standards of the State of Colorado and internal policies, procedures and protocols created by Fresh and Rocky Mountain High.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The Assistant Retail Store Manager position requires intermittent physical activity of lifting and carrying objects up to 30 pounds. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, squatting, crouching, and kneeling. Must be able to stand up to 8 hours per day, walk up to 4 hours per day, possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of one (1) years of retail management experience is required. Cannabis management experience is desired. Must be 21 years of age or older and hold a current MED badge.

Must have excellent communication and leadership skills, be highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities. Must be a self-starter with the ability to meet benchmarks and goals in a timely fashion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Retail Store Manager in performing basic personnel administration duties including interviewing, hiring, orienting, training, assigning work, scheduling. Advise the Retail Store Manager of any need for disciplining and recommending dismissing of employees as per your RMH supervisor’s assessment and approval.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide ongoing feedback to the Retail Store Manager. Coach and motivate the team members to top performance and exceptional customer service.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to timecard approval, scheduling, vendor invoice approval and submission, etc.
  • Oversee employee attendance, absences, tardiness and time-off requests. Report occurrences to the Retail Store Manager.
  • Assist in the mediation of conflict resolution between employees and/or customers.
  • Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within RMH guidelines and standards. Remove problematic and disgruntle customers from premises when necessary.
  • Assist in the oversight and management of vendor relations and procedures in accordance with RMH protocol (i.e. Accounting, Upper Management approval).
  • Oversee and assist in daily store operations in accordance with the RMH Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance of company policies and procedures. Provide direction and guidance to all employees on company programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Adhere to regulatory standards of the State of Colorado and internal RMH policies.
  • Oversee merchandise and inventory are at the levels needed, pricing, coupons, etc., via the inventory software program (Green Bits) and ensure the presentation of merchandise is per RMH guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure daily operations of sales, packaging, logging of product, transferring of product, ordering product and supplies, money handling and cash reconciliation, daily reporting of sales, weekly inventory reconciliation, project tracking, etc., are compliant with RMH protocols.
  • Assist the Retail Store Manager in serving as a liaison to the local community, by attending local city council meetings and local community events when pertinent to the cannabis industry.
  • Assist in local marketing and in-house marketing activities.
  • Attend and participate in sales and other business related trainings.

  • Skilled at providing conflict resolution guidance.
  • Skilled at critical thinking and problem solving.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of cannabis product usage and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of proficient usage of Microsoft Office products and internet navigation.
  • Knowledge of industry standard software programs such as METRC and Green Bits.

ABILITIES:

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and multi-task with frequent interruptions.
  • Able to maintain a professional and calm demeanor, diffuse and manage stressful situations.
  • Able and willing to work any open store hours, carry a cell phone, be on call and respond 24/7 as needed.
  • Able to work in a team environment and work effectively with other departments to accomplish goals.
  • Able to conduct and attend meetings whether company-wide, departmental, or facility based.

OTHER:

  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
