Located in the heart of North Carolina’s Piedmont, Rowan County is attractively and conveniently nestled between the state’s largest city and its Capitol. Rowan County is made up of more than 20 departments and nearly 1,250 employees that are committed to providing a wealth of services to County residents and businesses.

The County is currently accepting applications for the position of Nutritionist II. This position provides individual nutritional assessments and counseling of WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Nutrition Program recipients; develops care plans; and counsels clients concerning therapeutic diets, developmental processes, and nutritional principles.

Requires a Master’s Degree in Nutrition or Public Health Nutrition; or a Bachelor’s Degree in Foods and Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, or Dietetics and one year of nutrition experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; completion of an ADA approved dietetic internship with the ADA Commission or Dietetic Registration eligibility preferred. All degrees must be from an accredited college or university.

Starting Salary $49,900 - $54,800 (commensurate with experience) and excellent benefits package available.
