JOB SUMMARY:
Organize and administers individualized age specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
EDUCATION:
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have at least 2 yrs experience in the specialty area.
- Current New Jersey RN licensure required.
- BLS, PALS. ACLS, NRP certifications required.
- Test out on Cardiac Rhythm Course and pass hire.
- Stroke 4 hours continuing education.
- Must have I.V. certification from an approved facility and test out upon hire.
- Successful completion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
