Job Description Summary
The HRIS Manager's main responsibility is to oversee the implementation and maintenance of the company's Human Resources Information Technology systems. This includes leading the design, development, configuration, and implementation of HRIS and supporting HR projects to meet organizational needs and objectives. The HRIS Manager serves as a bridge between HR and other functional departments within and outside of HR to ensure that all requirements are met. They collect data to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope, and create technical specifications. Furthermore, the HRIS Manager provides daily operational support to various HR functions, such as recruitment, performance, payroll, benefits, and compensation. They offer technical support, troubleshooting, and end-user training to ensure the smooth functioning of HR processes.
Job Description
Oversees and maintains the optimal function of the organization's internal HR information services systems, which may include database management, network support, installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.
Provides help desk support for HR and other functional teams; investigates and resolves operational issues by applying knowledge of the HRIS, security, business processes, and procedures. Works and communicates with vendors to submit issues and determines escalation to research and resolve the system or user issue.
Collaborates with executive leadership and HR to identify needed improvements, gathers business requirements through a variety of techniques such as work sessions and interviews, and enhancements to existing systems. Analyzes and documents complex business requirements and processes; recommends and implements solutions and communicates these requirements to appropriate parties.
Creates complex test case scenarios to be used in testing; monitors/oversees the testing of business applications to verify that all requirements are incorporated into the system design.
Leads HCM project activities including issue escalation and status reporting to upper management.
Plans and designs complex cross-functional business processes and system modifications. Makes recommendations to improve and support business activities.
Provides work guidance to less experienced HRIS
Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR services users.
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications.
Qualifications
4-6 years of Experience in an HRIS (e.g., Workday) role within a high-growth organization
1-3 years of Experience with administering human resources policies, programs, and practices
Familiar with and proficient in the navigation of HRIS and other related systems (Workday, ATS, ADP, eTime, PeopleSoft, ArcPlan)
Strong organizational skills, perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly, attention to detail, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically Excel
Knowledge of basic human resources practices and principles
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
