Sobieski Enterprises, Inc. in Newark, DE is seeking to hire a full-time Controller to support Operating Divisions while managing all corporate financial reporting requirements.

• Monthly closing of internal financials, including analysis of bank account, A/R, A/P and accruals, preparation of WIP schedule, etc.
• Accumulate job cost data including payroll reports, materials and subcontractor billings in order to prepare monthly cost report for each project
• Oversee A/R department with preparation of monthly AIA invoices and collections
• Prepares and distributes weekly A/R, A/P, Revenue, WIP, Labor and Material Usage reports to facilitate accurate billings and financial reporting
• Work with Sr. Controller to develop accurate and timely work and to facilitate monthly reporting to executive management
• Work with Division Manager and Project Managers to ensure all costs and billings are timely and accurate
• Work with Division Manager and Project Managers and other internal customers, providing timely and thorough information, insight and analysis concerning all projects and related budgets
• Works with Management to handle purchasing for commercial projects
• Reconcile monthly fleet invoices and related intercompany charges to divisions
• Prepares monthly account reconciliations
• Post weekly payroll entries and monthly accruals
• Prepares forecast and annual budgets
• Performs other duties as required

DIVISION CONTROLLER QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 2-5 years financial accounting or public accounting experience.
• 2-5 years work experience in construction to include Cost Accounting, CIP or public accounting experience with construction clients.
• Must have excellent computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Microsoft Dynamics, Tableau and Spitfire experience a plus.
