Description
Summary As a Warranty Coordinator, you will report to the Warranty Manager and serve as a member of the Warranty Department supporting PowerSecure contractual obligations. This position includes a variety of duties for the Warranty Department. You are responsible for processing warranty claims accurately and in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications • Familiarity with service and warranty documentation. • Experience in engine system mechanics. • Experience reading technician reports recommended. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Valid Driver’s License. • High School Diploma or higher education.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Review technician reports and utilize labor codes accordingly across all vendors. • Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines. • Ability to understand and follow project scopes. • Strong written and verbal English skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, Outlook email/calendars • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.• Possess excellent time management skills. Must be able to take initiative to meet deadlines and the ability to prioritize workload with minimal supervision. • Communicate clearly and professionally with varying levels of coworkers/customers via phone/email and in person
Essential Functions Duties include but are not limited to:• Document, process, and file warranty claims in accordance with various vendor warranty policies. • Review warranty repair requests from service and provide accurate acceptance. • Monitor and review in-process claims to ensure claims are addressed and resolved.• Coordinate with service department and vendors to provide documentation necessary to process warranty claims. • Communicate repair instructions and performance expectations to service departments. • Assist Purchasing and Service Department with procuring needed parts and scheduling warranty repairs.• Track, maintain, and return all requested faulty material to original equipment manufacturer. • Monitor warranty receivables and process warranty credit statements. Receive and code warranty credit memos received from vendors and submit to accounting. • Develop successful working relationship within the organization to ensure long term satisfaction and dealer growth. • Escalate all issues to warranty manager for review to ensure claims are handled in timely manner. • Complete other warranty or service-related tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements
• Travel will occasionally be required. Up to 10%. • Occasionally moving materials and equipment that weigh up to 50 pounds. • Able to work in warehouse environment where certain areas of the warehouse require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses
Work Environment
Normal work environment will be a hybrid position which will combine remote and in office support. Work in warehouse environment will be required. Work environment could include exposure to weather, high noise levels, extreme heat or cold.
