Entry Level IT Support Technician
Provides front-line technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software, and peripherals. Performs technical work in a professional manner using standard techniques, concepts and procedures to ensure optimal system performance. Specialist will work primarily onsite at pharmacy location and remotely as needed

Essential job functions (include the following):
- Troubleshoots and repairs/resolves technical problems with desktop and business applications, to include coordinating the efforts of third-party contractors.
- Installs, configures and maintains personal computers, software and peripheral equipment.
- Ensures all issues are reported, tracked, and completed within a ticket/work order-based system.
- Collaborates with end users and advises about technical issues. Answers complex questions regarding PC/printer software/hardware issues. Keeps customer informed of how and when issues are resolved.
- Performs testing of version releases, upgrades and patches.
- Supports the roll-out of new applications and technology projects as needed.
- Maintains inventory supply (i.e., computers, monitors, printers, cables, telephones, toner cartridges, etc.)
- Partners cross functionally to resolve technical issues and support staff.
- Manages individual workload and work effectively on multiple assignments, activities, or projects in a fast pace changing environment
- Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
Education and/or Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 years of related experience
- Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Must possess excellent customer service skills, follow directions, and be self-motivated to complete assignments and research solutions.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
- Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
Work Environment:
- Candidate may require some travel to other Southern Pharmacy Services pharmacies
- Ability to work flexible hours in the evenings and weekends
