Job Description:
Supports the implementation, configuration, operation, support, and maintenance for a variety of systems utilized by virtually all the departments within the county. Systems include vital records, property tax, cama, document storage, zoning and permitting, animal services, financial/payroll and other accounting, investment management, timekeeping, and child support. Troubleshoots, researches, and resolves errors on supported systems.
- Essential Functions, Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain SQL server backup and maintenance plans.
- Create SQL scripts needed to support systems and for custom reporting.
- Troubleshoot, research, and resolve errors on supported systems.
- Create documentation for resolution of known issues and training.
- Working with users, help desk and vendors to resolve issues.
- Project management and planning including yearly budget reviews.
- Identify, evaluate, and analyze work processes to make improvements.

Position Requirements
- 1-3 years’ experience supporting software in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Security plus certification (within 6 months of hire)
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to St. Clair County within 6 months of employment.
- Knowledge, Skills and Mental Aptitude
- Working knowledge of SQL Server including writing and running SQL scripts
- Familiarity with programming Visual Studio
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Good communications skills are necessary to interact with County personnel and outside consultants and vendors.
- Organizational skills are necessary and must be able to manage multiple priorities.
