Trainer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Trainer position will be responsible for performing the following duties:

• Implementing training program for new hires. (Including field-75% practical hands on training and classroom training-25% on locate theory)
• Assist with on-boarding of new hires
• Effectively communicate company policy and procedures
• Provide computer training on ticket management system and documentation
• Administer Operator Qualification on covered task for Southern Co. Gas which includes Study Guides assigned per OQ time table, tests written and practical administered per OQ guidelines and OQ documentation recorded and sent to Southern Co. Gas per guidelines.
• Provide remedial training for locate field technicians which includes 4 hours field training after at- fault damage and/or failed audit and administering 8 basic steps to locate test after field training
• Maintaining all training records which includes creating training file for each locate technician and recording/filing all new hire training and remedial trainings in each locate technician’s file.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Clean background check for access to restricted and/or controlled areas.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass random drug screens and to remain drug and alcohol free.
• Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
• Dependable and trustworthy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to look beyond the standard solutions.
• Excellent public speaking skills

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1 year of Gas locating experience required.
• Able to locate with all models of RD, Subsite, Metro Tech, VI-Vax and Pipe Horn
• Computer proficiency
• Excel proficiency
