Position Summary: Change management is a systematic approach to dealing with the transition or transformation of an organization's goals, processes, or technologies. The purpose of change management is to implement strategies for effecting change, controlling change, and helping people to adapt to change.
The Organizational Change Management Associate serves to support change management needs across the HR strategic portfolio of initiatives. This role will support critical OCM activities for key projects across UHR and the broader HR Community and enable the delivery of human-centered organizational change management strategies that will improve the long-term success of HR initiatives.
Job Purpose: Help implement and support organizational change activities across a strategic portfolio of HR change initiatives. Work is typically comprised of 30% time contribution towards project facilitation and 70% as a technical contributor.
The OCM Associate will support day-to-day change management activities on assigned projects within the HR strategic portfolio. They will:
- Assist in OCM assessments related to organizational / stakeholder readiness, change impacts, and risks by gathering data as directed (e.g., stakeholder interviews, survey creation/facilitation, observational evaluations, etc.) and assessing information to offer insights in support of OCM planning
- Support the creation of change management strategies on assigned projects by drawing insights from assessments, participating in brainstorming discussions, and documenting project elements as requested by OCM project lead
- Engage with relevant stakeholders as needed and as directed, in alignment with OCM strategies
- Deliver on change management plans by creating communication, education, and training deliverables in partnership with relevant teams
- Review and update OCM project plans, as appropriate, across assigned projects
- Track and support reporting of OCM assessment metrics
- Prepare progress reports, meeting notes, and other project documentation; attend relevant meetings and participate in project-related discussions, including post-OCM implementation reviews
- For smaller scope projects with less complex change impacts, the OCM Associate may be assigned to lead day-to-day OCM activities including project set-up, light-touch OCM plan creation, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of OCM plans by creating required communication, education, and training materials, including emails, presentations, toolkits, talking points, instructor-led training materials, etc.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Associate degree or 2-5 years work experience, with one or more of those in relevant change management roles (stakeholder engagement, communication, and training) performing duties similar to those listed above.
Hybrid Role: The expected pay range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000 per annum.
